Gillian has always had a vivid imagination and an independent spirit. She chose to focus on dance and her first professional career was as a contemporary dancer. She toured Europe and North America for over a decade with various dance/theatre companies, and then chose to become an actor, focusing on TV and film.

In 2004 she joined Cirque du Soleil as an artistic casting advisor and travelled the world scouting new talent and new trends in performance and design. In 2012 she was named Director of the Creative Lab at the new company, Cirque Du Soleil Media. She now leads a team of creatives in developing projects destined for the International TV, film and new media markets.

Gillian also has a vibrant practice as a coach and creative consultant, speaker and workshop leader.
